Delhi Capitals had won the toss and invited Mumbai Indians to bat first. For Mumbai, Tilak Varma scored 59 runs, while Suryakumar Yadav added 40 and Naman Dhir contributed 38 runs in a short but important knock. Thanks to these contributions, Mumbai posted 205 runs for the loss of five wickets. In reply, Delhi Capitals, despite a brilliant 89-run innings by Karun Nair, lost the match. Mumbai Indians won the match by 12 runs.
