In October 2022, Ishan Kishan achieved his then-ODI career-high score of 93 runs against South Africa. Remarkably, during India’s tour of Bangladesh in December, he became the youngest player (aged 24 years and 145 days) and the fastest to reach a double century in an ODI, scoring 210 runs from 131 balls. This feat surpassed Chris Gayle’s record by reaching the 200-run mark in just 126 deliveries.
