Kevin Pietersen Career after Cricket

In early 2007, Kevin Pietersen published his autobiography, “Crossing the Boundary.” Journalist Marcus Stead authored a second biography, “Portrait of a Rebel,” in the autumn of 2009, offering a detailed account of controversies during Pietersen’s tenure as England captain. Stead’s book was later revised and updated as ‘KP – The Biography,’ released in July 2013. Another autobiography, “KP: The Autobiography,” ghostwritten by Irish sports journalist David Walsh, followed in October 2014.

Pietersen, expressing gratitude for family time, has regretted trying “too hard to be English” at the expense of his roots. A staunch advocate for endangered animals in South Africa, he opened Umganu Lodge in 2018, a luxury resort at Kruger National Park’s edge, promoting awareness of endangered species. Pietersen also founded Saving Our Rhinos Africa & India (SORAI), an Australian charity supporting rhinoceros conservation.
