    Musheer Khan’s 105* Guides India B to 202/7 at Stumps; India C Trail by 73 Runs in Duleep Trophy 2024

    On the first day of the Duleep Trophy 2024, Musheer Khan’s resilient unbeaten century led India B to a solid position. At Stumps, India B were 202/7 in 79 overs, with Musheer Khan making a crucial 105* off 227 balls, featuring 10 fours and 2 sixes. He was well-supported by Navdeep Saini, who was unbeaten on 29* from 74 deliveries. India A’s bowlers, including Khaleel Ahmed, Akash Deep, and Avesh Khan, each claimed two wickets, but were unable to dismiss the remaining India B batsmen.

    Meanwhile, India C ended Day 1 at 91/4 in 33 overs, trailing India D by 73 runs. India C’s response to India D’s total of 164 was led by Baba Indrajith (15) and Abishek Porel (32), who remained unbeaten as the team struggled against the India D bowlers. For India D, Axar Patel played a key role, scoring a defiant 86 off 118 balls, including six fours and six sixes. Vyshak Vijay Kumar was the standout bowler for India C, taking three crucial wickets.

    The first session saw India B reaching 65/2 at Lunch, while India D was in trouble at 76/7. In the tosses for the day, Shubman Gill won for India A and opted to bowl first against India B, while Ruturaj Gaikwad won for India C and chose to bowl first against India D. Notably, Dhruv Jurel kept wickets for India A in place of KL Rahul.

    • India C: 91/4 in 33 overs at Stumps, trailing by 73 runs in response to India D’s total of 164 at Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur. Baba Indrajith (15) and Abishek Porel (32) are unbeaten.
    • India D: All out for 164 in 48.3 overs, with Axar Patel top-scoring with 86 off 118 balls, including six fours and six sixes. Vyshak Vijay Kumar took three wickets for India C.
    • India B went to Lunch at 65/2.
    • India D was 76/7 at the end of the first session.
