Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that it will host its first men’s T10 tournament, the Lanka T10 Super League, from December 12 to 22. The tournament will run for 11 days, fitting between the second Test match in South Africa and a white-ball series in New Zealand later in December.
SLC is partnering with T Ten Sports Management, T Ten Global Sports, and Innovative Production Group to organize the league. Teams will have the option to select emerging players from Zimbabwe and the West Indies, where T Ten Global Sports is also involved in cricket initiatives.
A player draft for the tournament is scheduled for November 10 in Colombo. Six franchises will participate in the T10 tournament, with each required to sign six players, including one Icon player, one Platinum player, and players from Categories A and B, both from Sri Lanka and abroad.
