Munaf Patel (born 12 July 1983) is a former Indian cricketer who played in all formats. He was part of India’s 2011 World Cup-winning team. Born in Ikhar, Gujarat, he made a name for himself in 2003 when he impressed legends like Dennis Lillee and Steve Waugh with his fast bowling.
Munaf started his domestic career with Mumbai, later playing for Maharashtra and Gujarat. In the IPL, he first played for Rajasthan Royals, winning the title in 2008, and later moved to Mumbai Indians, where he had his best season in 2011 with 22 wickets.
His international career had ups and downs due to injuries. He made an impressive Test debut in 2006 against England, taking 7 wickets.
