Just a day after announcing his retirement from Test cricket, Indian cricket star Virat Kohli visited Vrindavan on Tuesday along with his wife, actress Anushka Sharma. The couple met spiritual leader Premanand Maharaj and reportedly had a conversation with him for about 15 minutes. Kohli, however, spent around two hours at the ashram.

This was not the first time that Kohli and Anushka visited Premanand Maharaj. They had previously visited Vrindavan in 2023 and again in January this year.

    Retired Just a Day Before

Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket on Monday through a post on Instagram. His Test career spanned 14 years, during which he played 123 Test matches, scored 9,230 runs in 210 innings, including 30 centuries. The 36-year-old last appeared in Test cricket during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the Australian tour, where India lost the five-match series 1–3.

Although Kohli scored a century in the first match of the series at Perth, he struggled to perform in the remaining games. His decision to retire came just before the selectors were set to announce India’s squad for the upcoming five-match Test series in England next month. Notably, Kohli had already retired from T20 Internationals last year.
