Gujarat Titans, who are close to securing a spot in the playoffs, are set to face Delhi Capitals on Sunday. The match will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. IPL 2025 was temporarily halted due to the war between India and Pakistan. As a result, some foreign players returned to their home countries.
While most of them are now back, a few have not returned. Delhi Capitals will miss two of their players for the remainder of the tournament, while Gujarat Titans will also be without some key players during the playoffs.
Who Will Play for Delhi?
Delhi Capitals have been hit hard as their star fast bowler Mitchell Starc will not be returning. In his place, the team has roped in Bangladesh’s left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman. If available, he is likely to feature in the playing XI. Jake Fraser-McGurk will also not be returning, although he had already lost his spot in the playing XI.
Faf du Plessis and Abhishek Porel are expected to open the innings, followed by Karun Nair at number three. KL Rahul and Axar Patel are expected to handle the middle order. Tristan Stubbs is a confirmed name in the XI. The team may experiment with Ashutosh Sharma and Vipraj Nigam as impact players. Dushmantha Chameera, Kuldeep Yadav, and T Natarajan are all likely to play.
