Two of Rajasthan Royals’ matches in IPL 2025 have shocked fans. The team lost two matches that were almost won — one against Delhi Capitals and the other against Lucknow Super Giants. After the narrow 2-run loss to Lucknow, serious allegations of match-fixing surfaced. Jaydeep Bihani, Convenor of the Ad-Hoc Committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), claimed that the match against Lucknow was fixed. However, BCCI has now responded to the allegations.
What Did BCCI Say on Match-Fixing Allegations?
Speaking to the Times of India, a BCCI official dismissed the match-fixing claims, calling them baseless. The official said, “There’s no such thing as match-fixing. RCA elections are around the corner, and such false statements are being made just to grab attention.” He also added that BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit keeps a close watch on every match and that the allegations are completely false. This statement came after Rajasthan Royals filed a written complaint against Jaydeep Bihani with the BCCI.
Rajasthan Royals’ Disastrous Run in IPL 2025
IPL 2025 has been nothing short of a nightmare for Rajasthan Royals. The team has lost 6 out of their 8 matches so far, including two games they almost won. Though they showed signs of a comeback by defeating Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, they went on to lose three matches in a row. They were crushed by RCB by 9 wickets, then lost to Delhi Capitals in a Super Over, and finally suffered a 2-run defeat against Lucknow despite needing just 9 runs in the final over.
