IPL 2025 has started with quite a surprise as the three trophyless franchises, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) occupy the top three positions. Meanwhile, the five time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are the fifth and seventh position respectively. On the other hand, the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) is at the bottom position with two losses in three matches.
Gujarat Titans (GT) is going to face the table toppers RCB today at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. They are at the fourth position in the points table with one win and one loss in two matches. Last year’s finalist, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is at the eighth position after losing two of its three matches so far. Rajasthan Royals (RR) have suffered the same fate as SRH in their three games. They are at the ninth position.
The team with the most expensive player in IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) is at the sixth position. Despite, Nicholas Pooran being the top scorer of the tournament so far, the Super Giants have achieved victory in only one game.
