Currently dominating the U19 World Cup 2024, Musheer has emerged as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, having achieved two centuries and a fifty in the group stage. His prolific run continued as he smashed his second century against New Zealand in their Super Six encounter.

Playing only his fourth match in the tournament, Musheer has displayed aggressive and impactful right-handed batting, much in line with his brother Sarfaraz Khan’s style. Notably, Musheer contributed a fifty against Ireland and followed it up with a century against the USA, solidifying India U19’s position atop their group.

In the critical Super Six clash against New Zealand, Musheer’s century becomes even more significant, potentially securing India’s place in the U19 World Cup 2024 semifinals. If he manages to guide the team to a substantial score in the first innings, India U19 is poised to qualify for the next stage.

At present, India U19 leads Group 1 of the Super Six, maintaining an advantageous position over Pakistan in terms of net run rate. A victory against New Zealand would set them up against Nepal in the next match, offering a favorable chance to easily secure a spot in the U19 World Cup 2024 semifinals.
