The final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 between India and New Zealand will take place on Sunday at the Dubai International Stadium. The match is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM IST. This high-stakes clash is not just about lifting the prestigious trophy but also about winning a massive prize pool, as the total prize money for the tournament has increased by 53% compared to the previous edition.
Champions to Take Home a Jackpot
The winning team of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will receive a cash prize of $2.24 million (approximately ₹20 crore). Meanwhile, the runner-up team will also get a significant reward of $1.24 million (₹9.74 crore). India has a golden opportunity to secure both the trophy and the huge cash prize if they defeat New Zealand in the final. However, if India finishes as the runner-up, they will have to settle for ₹9.74 crore along with the disappointment of missing out on the title.
Australia & South Africa to Receive Cash Rewards
The losing semifinalists, Australia and South Africa, will also receive prize money. Both teams will get an equal share of $560,000 (₹4.87 crore each). The total prize pool for ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is $6.09 million (approximately ₹60 crore), a 53% increase from the 2017 edition.

Rewards for Teams Finishing 5th to 8th
- Teams finishing 5th or 6th will receive ₹3.04 crore each.
- Teams finishing 7th or 8th will be awarded ₹1.22 crore each.
- All eight teams participating in the tournament will receive an additional ₹1.08 crore for their participation.
The ICC Champions Trophy is a tournament held every four years, featuring the top eight teams in men’s cricket. Meanwhile, the Women’s Champions Trophy will be introduced for the first time in 2027 and will be played in the T20 format.
