Career
Matthew Mott (born 3 October 1973) is an Australian cricket coach and former first-class cricketer. He played for Queensland and Victoria, scoring 3,723 runs in 66 matches. After retiring, Mott became a coach. He led New South Wales to a Sheffield Shield win and the 2009 Champions League T20 title. He later coached Glamorgan in England before taking charge of the Australian women’s team in 2015.
Under him, they won multiple titles, including the 2020 T20 World Cup. In 2022, he became England’s white-ball coach and guided them to the T20 World Cup win. However, after poor performances in the 2023 ODI World Cup and 2024 T20 World Cup, he left the job in July 2024. Mott then joined Sydney Sixers as assistant coach in September 2024. On 27 February 2025, he was appointed assistant coach of Delhi Capitals.
